We’re Guilty Dog VR, an independent game studio based in the UK. This page explains what information we receive when you visit our website, play our games or get in touch, and what we do with it.

Guilty Dog VR is the trading name of Guilty Dog Productions Ltd.. Our company number is 08385826 and our registered office is 23 Goodlass Road, Business First Business Centre, Liverpool, England, L24 9HJ.

Our website and email

You don’t need an account to use this website. If you email us, we’ll receive your email address and whatever you include in your message, such as your name, a description of a problem or an attachment. We use that information to reply and help with your request.

Our website is hosted by 123 Reg. The hosting service records access logs, which may include information such as IP addresses, requested pages and visit times. The hosting account also has AWStats and Webalizer enabled to produce site statistics from server logs. Raw logs are also archived in the hosting account; the account is configured to remove the previous month’s archives at the end of each month. Other logs, statistics or backups may be kept for longer. If you follow a link to a store, Discord, YouTube or another website, that service has its own privacy policy.

We use information in enquiries and support messages because we have a legitimate interest in responding to people and supporting our games. We keep messages for as long as we need them to deal with the request and meet any relevant business or legal obligations, then delete them.

Air Hockey XR

The current Android XR version doesn’t use in-game online services. We’re working on multiplayer and will update this page before introducing online features and any associated data processing. Google Play and other platform providers may handle information separately when you use their services.

Air Hockey Arcade and Meta platform features

Air Hockey Arcade can use Meta Quest platform features, previously known as Oculus platform features. When those features are enabled, Meta may make the following information available to the game:

We use this information to provide platform features while you play, such as accessing your in-game avatar or showing friends in supported multiplayer features.

Meta handles information under its own privacy policy. Multiplayer features may also use Epic Online Services for connecting players and managing sessions; Epic handles information under its own privacy policy.

Optional Arcade multiplayer feedback

Air Hockey Arcade has an optional multiplayer feedback feature. When the game asks how your match was, selecting a rating sends feedback; you can close the panel without selecting a rating. If you send feedback, we receive your rating and some information about the match and connection: a hashed user identifier, match identifier, game version, ping, jitter and packet loss. The feedback was intended to help us understand how multiplayer was working. We plan to retire this feature, but it’s still in the released game for now.

The feedback is handled by Cloudflare and stored in a Cloudflare database. We’ve set up a daily cleanup to delete records more than 30 days old, normally within about 31 days. Separate backups or exports may be kept for longer. If you ask us to delete your feedback, we’ll delete all feedback records from the live database. Please get in touch if you have questions about feedback you’ve sent.

Sending feedback is your choice: we rely on your consent to collect it. You can choose not to send it, or contact us to withdraw your consent or ask about feedback already sent. Withdrawing consent doesn’t affect what happened before you withdrew it.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can ask us to show you, correct or delete your personal information, restrict or object to how we use it, or give you a copy in a portable format. If you have a question or want to make a request, email us at hello@guiltydog.co.uk.
